Most conferences, an intel service won't have invited you to speak, booked your travel, booked your room, or have 3 days to speak with you.

At a normal conference, an intel service might get a 2 minute oppt to ask you questions after your talk, or awkwardly hit you up at the bar.

Seems like FUD to me. I submitted, wasn't invited. I booked and paid my own flight. Didn't notice anyone suspicious. I recognized many.
