I chewed out my asst principal over it but I doubt they'll change. I made my own oppt and spoke to a 50/50 class of 7th graders instead.

Moral of the story? High school guidance is where creativity, ambition, and aspirations go to die. They do an awful job and don't know it.

Not only for career choice but also earlier; class choice. Directing academic achievers *away* from 'programming' bc "it's an easy class".

While a) no it wasn't, and several students failed it, & b) teacher in charge explicitly said it wasn't prior to that in class presentation.
