NSO used shared infrastructure to launch the attack, some of which had other domains with WHOIS info that revealed them as true owners.

thing that amazes me is how little additional opsec they needed in order to avoid detection here. They left door wide open. Why?

with simple whitelisting of targeted devices, it would have been orders of magnitude harder for anyone but target to get the assets
