@thegrugq well-aware! but not certain how much that reflects maturity of CNE operations. Not perfectly overlapping skillsets/reqs/people. -
@dguido I can't comment on that, but I would avoid disparaging remarks about countries. Racism is never cool. -
@thegrugq there's a ranking order of gov CNE maturity, my perception is that Vietnam is low on that list. Nothing to do with race. -
@dguido this is based on your personal research into .gov CNE capabilities, or a published paper on the topic? -
@thegrugq attack on EFF showed poor linguists, relies on 3rd party infra, no exploits, and a group of lawyers saw right through it. -
@dguido definitely a terrible op. Indicative of the overall CNE capabilities of the country? -
@thegrugq I'd love to see evidence that they can scale up (better recon, covert infra, tooling, etc). I just don't have any right now. - 2 more replies

@dguido I'd be surprised if this really is the first targeted attack. -
.
@runasand yup. there are far more countries out there willing to hack EFF over a political statement in a blog post -
.
@runasand telling too that an email with HTA attachments ended up in EFFs inbox. Decent indicator of security maturity. -
@dguido The email sent to the AP reporter looks a bit more legit. - 1 more reply
