@dguido @chrisrohlf @duosec @jonoberheide By that logic, did any of the mitigations in Win7 matter?

@scarybeasts@dguido@chrisrohlf No, mitigations only matter if they're adopted instantly by 100% of the user base. </s> -
@jonoberheide@scarybeasts@chrisrohlf Mitigations only matter if people can use them and reality is that the majority *can't* on Android. -
@dguido@jonoberheide@chrisrohlf I'm at a loss to understand where you're coming from. Perhaps Intel shouldn't have bothered with NX? -
@scarybeasts I'm saying the situation is vastly worse than the rosy picture that@jonoberheide painted. Android !improving unless patchable.

@dguido@chrisrohlf@duosec@jonoberheide It seems silly to compare iOS mitigations in widespread deployment with Android's in fantasyland. -
@dguido@chrisrohlf@duosec Do Win 8, iOS 6, Mountain Lion, etc mitigations matter when no one runs them? I think that's a silly question. -
@jonoberheide@chrisrohlf@duosec it matters when you can expect < %10 of the population to run a given version 1yr after release. -
@dguido@chrisrohlf How about a long bet? One year from now, Jelly Bean has greater adoption % than Windows 8. :-P -
@jonoberheide@dguido@chrisrohlf I'd like to make a side bet on the number of times I give the Win8 talk to the number of phones w/ JB. -
@nudehaberdasher@dguido@chrisrohlf Also, if JB has higher adoption than Win 8, Chris has to quit infosec and give up his SVC membership.

@dguido sad but true. And I blame HTC, LG, Samsumg and Google for that. Expecially Google, which could solve this but doesn'tThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
