I really hope you would if they repeatedly used your name for marketing purposes and misrepresented what you did for them in order to put more of users money at risk after ignoring your most basic and most explicit recommendations...

The client updated their public statement to account for our feedback and request for correction, and that statement was communicated to their audience. This occurred after working privately and courteously with the client for a few days to make sure we were on the same page.

And if that client had been hacked prior to you starting to work with them to resolve said issue and they were blaming you publicly for not catching the issue in your audit?

This is a far cry from your agreeing to perform no-log audits for VPN companies, something I consider immoral at best. I'll make sure to let my clients know that I'm likely to sue them, thanks for the great advice!
