Last thing: I don't have a problem with checkra1n. It is what it is! I know it's not made for evil. However, any abuse of components inside it will happen without permission, help, or maybe even knowledge of the original authors.
my mild annoyance honestly stems from the lack of attention to detail here. checkm8 had an exploit implementation upon release. you could load an iBSS/iBEC with integrity checks patched the traditional way and then load up a custom RAM disk to do as you wish
