are there any llvm-mctoll users out there? I just ran it on this super-simple function and it dies when it hits the shift instruction, anyone know if I'm messing something up or it's just very limited?pic.twitter.com/VFk5Tm0onh

I'm not a heavy user but I've also had it die at very basic things like loops so they might have a few problems
There's a summary of available LLVM lifters on the mcsema readme, if you want to consider a different tool:https://github.com/trailofbits/mcsema#comparison-with-other-machine-code-to-llvm-bitcode-lifters …
I do want to consider different tools! but I have a pretty non-standard use case where the lifted IR is going to be fed to a formal methods tool, and I'm afraid that a lot of extraneous memory references are going to just kill that tool
have not tried out mcsema yet, but so far just going off what I read here: https://adalogics.com/blog/binary-to-llvm-comparison …
IMHO that's a really ill-informed review of binary lifters. Here's what we had to say about their methodology.https://www.reddit.com/r/ReverseEngineering/comments/d5w15d/comparison_of_the_llvm_ir_generated_by_three/f0pphgs/ …
got it. thanks! I had not seen this reply.
