Tor has a substantial number of known weaknesses compared to a relatively conservative and simple VPN. You should need a special reason to use Tor; it's not the right choice for most people.

Tor is terrible security advice anymore. WireGuard running on your own
@AlgoVPN on a commonly unblocked UDP port seems like the safest answer. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a legitimate use case for Tor that wouldn’t be safer to do another way. -
