...blog post *about my work*. It's ok, I know that nobody listens until enough men repeat what I just said (several years running). It's in fact what is happening at h1 right now! I certainly told them that their biz model would not scale when I was there. Using their own data.https://twitter.com/_trentb_/status/1101565641239289857 …

woahhhh! Sorry Katie, we didn't mean to come off that way. Trent was just poking fun at the absurdity of the situation. We, and I think everyone else, know that the data, research, and publication came from you. All we can take credit for is breaching a paywall.

I'm glad you gave my overlooked work a bump. Drove some great discussions of facts, even getting h1 to double down (& reveal the saddest absolute numbers, 6+ years into their ~$74M VC-backed experiment). Just a fact that nobody listens to expert women until enough men repeat them

Yes, I agree that is shitty and happens too often. Being stuck behind a paywall and unable to freely publish certainly exacerbated the issue. It was great work and deserved more exposure! Please let me know if there's anything else I can do.

FWIW citing a paper by title and linking directly to the original is generally a winning strategy, but the lack of general availability of the paper makes discovering the author list tricky. I'm buying the book to find the full author list and updating our blog now.

We did talk about this research among our topics at RSA 2015. I appreciate the update for the authors. Here they all are:https://twitter.com/k8em0/status/975458601631342592?s=19 …

oh wow! I have not seen this video before, watching now... I added the authors directly to the blog to ensure it's more easily available, especially for readers who don't go buy the book. Definitely a better idea in retrospect, our bad!

No worries, you cited the book, and now the authors of the paper itself. Good stuff!
