Does working remotely ever get lonely? Particularly extroverts? I actually decided against a job that sounded great cause I was concerned that I would hate working remotely. I don't think I've ever seen anyone commenting that remote didn't work for them though

We have ~25 people working full-time remote and all in single-person home-offices. Extroverts generally thrive with more effective communication. I’d only be wary of joining a remote position at a company where that wasn’t common already.
Reason being, it’s as much responsibility on the company to ensure remote positions are a success as on you. We buy high-end AV equipment, force comms onto Slack, record meetings, set random 1:1s, and trained the _HQ employees_ to work better with remote people.

This is correct we also have all our employees in remote positions(20+). I can say this, it doesn't work for everyone, some people simply cannot do it. But a lot has to do with how the employer manages things.

That sounds great. It is important to do that. You can build your own social interaction, but if the _HQ_ team does not have a remote culture, it will not last long

That is so true, not the same when you are the only remote guy in the team. I am one of few team members working remote, it’s not as glamorous as it sounds.
