Yeah this study is not representative at all. Considering you can easily make 1XXk-4XXk, part time, a year. Consistently.
I appreciate your single data point, however, it's easy to suffer from confirmation bias without seeing a wider swath of the data, as the researchers in this study did. Your case is much more rare than you think.
