I apologize to the Rust devs caught in my wanton dunking on C++ templates. They clearly have better things to do. I clearly don’t.

Journalists don’t sit down with senior officials to score political points. We do it in the service of asking tough questions, on behalf of our fellow citizens. And then sharing the answers—or lack thereof—with the world. My take for :

I literally LOL’d at the utterly ridiculous “law school” hypothetical from Trump’s defense team. The misleading framing, the hypocrisy... it’s its own parody. Or would be, if not for the cowardice of GOP senators.

Just heard this interview on the air, and you should too. Pompeo is evasive, belligerent, and lying through his teeth. Mary Louise Kelly is on point, bringing fact after fact to cut through the bull 💩 until Pompeo storms off. Pay attention to what happens afterward....

Donald Trump must be convicted and removed from office. Because he will always choose his own personal interest over our national interest. Because in America, right matters. Truth matters. If not, no Constitution can protect us. If not, we are lost.

This is really part of a much larger effort to improve function builders, parts of which have been landing over the last ~6 months. So, I wrote up a summary of what we've been up to in this area:

... and now support for "if " within function builders:

For example, it makes supporting multiple conditions for "if" statements within function builder closures a straightforward generalization of the refactored code. This would have required some gross hackery with the old implementation of function builders.

Finally merged a large refactor I've been doing on-and-off for a while. By itself it has no user-visible effect, but it's the building block to make function builders more powerful and expressive.
