Ironically, though, many artist collectives, co-ops, and collaborative multi-disciplinary practices have been formed by artists who have attended art schools... and some educators have provided perspectives on the history of collaborative and collective practices, btw.

For certain - the art history is there and solid. But as I recall it, the focus was almost always on the individual actors within the collectives, and little around how to work collaboratively or why you might want to create your own structures & systems in which to work...

Keep challenging and asking the right questions - I am sure your students learn implicitly from seeing your work cut across so many genres and disciplines and cultures/sub-cultures and still function very clearly as an art practice.

TBH I kinda wish I had developed more of a solo career when I was younger and spent much less time/energy/ideas on collaborative projects (although they were fun and rewarding in their own way)

It kinda sucks being in your 30s and realizing most of your best work are projects you can't really claim authorship of.
