In which really really REALLY doesn't want you to talk to a human. Because of course you haven't already spent an hour in the forums trying to find your answer. I fully expect the "human" to paste the same thing that's in the support forums, too. #Wow #CX #UX
QuickBooks support forum post in which someone describes the FIVE STEP process to get actual help from a human via the help chat. It reads:
"Here's how you can reach out to them:

1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right hand corner and click Talk to a human.
2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
3. Look for 'I still need a human' and click on it.
4. Select 'Get help from a human.'
5. Choose between 'Chat with us,' 'Schedule an appointment,' or 'Have us call you.'"

Three screenshots are provided, highlighting the many selections necessary to "talk to a human" and showing repeated prompting to make other selections besides talking to a human.

Was excited to refer to 's new book to find out the latest and greatest on ranking questions. Good thing I did since I found this! (Get yourself a copy already!)
Image from Caroline Jarrett's book Surveys That Work. The subheading reads "A final word: avoid ranking questions."

Behold, the least-frequently-updated dialog in all of software. (Maybe it's even the original?) Why can't I type in my template number? Why is it in alpha order by number? (Why are there 68,337 different templates when many are identical?) #UX #UI #sad #MSWord

10 years after switching to mac, I still want to go to Window > New Finder Window instead of File > New Finder Window. (I'm in the Window menu in the first place to see if the window I want is already open or not.) Oy.
Today is the day—Diverse Futures is published!!! I don’t have my author’s copies yet, but I promise to post fun reaction photos and videos soon. For all of my friends who have kindly pre-ordered: I would love to see a picture of you with the book and hear your reactions.

The original original problem is one that I also thought had been prevented in the first place. My already-revised address was also not reflected in the other system. Fix takes 24 hours to proliferate. So o guess I find out tomorrow if my present issue is actually solved. 2/3

Since everyone is on the edges of their seats - 3 hours total. Four phone calls. This screenshot is the third, which I left running while I called a 4th time from a different phone. Problem was something I thought was resolved 2 months ago, and 1/
