A new report on #COVID vaccines debunks “the fallacy that they’re causing significant harm," UCSF's Dr. says. “We have more evidence than for any other vaccine or disease... that the benefits of COVID-19 vaccines greatly outweigh the risks.”

Source: An ex-medical examiner sharing unproven anecdotes on Berenson's substack. The Danish study used death certificates and excess deaths as a gold standard. They looked at a measure that counted all deaths within 30 days. And they point out death certificates underestimate.

This show is a journey. Maybe the best example of freeing someone from their own deeply held thought process--their own confirmation bias. That can only happen with the trust that Jason earned. Watch #paultgoldman

The Paul T. Goldman finale is streaming now on @peacock. It’s just over an hour. I recommend watching it in a dark room, at a good volume, with some others if you can. Thanks, and thanks for all of the support. #PaulTGoldman

Please don't mock patients suffering from nonepileptic seizures. I can tell you from experience that they are hurting & healthcare workers cause them so much more pain with this alienation. It drives them further away from effective treatment (brain retraining psychotherapy)./end

So what is it? It looks similar to an epiletic seizure but is not driven by electrical discharges in the brain picked up on EEG. It's a more distributed network problem that we do not have a test for. We do know that these symptoms are not fake & they can be very disabling. 3/

FS is largely replacing PNES as the name for these symptoms. "Functional" refers to disordered functioning of the nervous system & is etiologically nonspecific whereas "psychogenic" assumes a psych cause. We don't know what causes them tho psych factors can be a risk factor. 2/

Old videos of people suffering from neuro symptoms allegedly after the COVID vaccine are circulating again. Some of these patients appear to have been diagnosed with psychogenic nonepileptic seizures (PNES) or functional seizures (FS). So a thread on #FNDaware 1/

WSJ covered resident unions today. Article dropped 3h ago; 400+ comments already. My fave is “There was no issue with work-life balance until women became MDs!” But don’t worry, Stockholm syndrome, the bootstraps brigade, and socialized medicine fearmongering are there, too.

Comment hypothesizing that women are to blame for this phenomenon, as there was no problem with “work life balance” until women entered medicine.
Warning from a physician who said that he felt abused in residency for $12,500 a year but now feels that it was his best learning experience.
Comments, noting that these cry babies didn’t get into veterinary school; gonna be a rude awakening when they start dealing with the insurance industry; and that the hours don’t get better after training.
Retired cardiologist noting that his best learning was at 3am.

With so much vaccine misinfo on Twitter these days, remember 💭 Nobody denies that vaccines can have serious side effects. The question is how severe and how often they occur compared to effects of infection. For adults COVID vaccines have always been safer than infection.💉

It appears the Spanish teen from this video deleted her TikTok account... I don't know how long ago... I suspect that she may have got mobbed and trolled by a load of AVers... she wanted the vaxx but had a fear of needles hence why she showed the video!!

Never forget what they did to our children. Girl cries "no, please! no, please! I don't want it, please!" while 5 masked hospital workers stand over her and force the COVID vaccine. When a patient says no, you stop.

Synthetic fabrics pretty quickly took over starched cotton in the second half of the 20th century. Much easier to wear and maintain. Comfort and practicality still came along with a conscious desire for a highly feminine look.

At a recent retirement lunch for a nurse colleague we had a very interesting convo about Canadian nursing uniforms and how they'd changed over her career. I did some googling - thinking there might be a cool blog on this topic. To my delight I discovered an entire book! 🧵

Let's be clear: Dr Malhotra lost the respect of the profession when he forfeited evidence-based medicine, proceeded to review his own academic work, and went beyond his remit to sell false truths on social media and in the media. He no longer holds an NHS consultant post.

If you're quibbling over 495 being a "less qualified MCAT score" than your 511, I can guarantee you it wasn't about your grades, scores, race or gender. It was about you.
