Yeah. When they issue a red warning about Fiordland, you know they mean business. In Corvallis, we're complaining about 10" of rain in a month; they got 10" in 24 hours.

Really nice to see snow, ice, and water get this many column-inches (newspaper column inches; not federal sampler).

The typical 'mountain shadow' in the PNW is cast on the ground; say, as you're climbing Mt. Hood at sunrise. It's a rare treat when we get mountain shadows cast on the underside of the high cloud layer.

One of the feedback comments on my Science Pub talk? That I reminded the audience member of Crispin Glover in Back to the Future. Solid gold. Maybe I talked too much about snow density. From this point forward, it's snow destiny.

Whirled Pies (nee Cozmic Pizza) in Eugene is super cool. Saw Lord Huron there before they got huge. Nicki Bluhm as well. All great shows. I promise I'll keep that streak alive. Come hear about all the snow we've recently gotten in Oregon! .
