Here’s the best English text I could find about how it’s calculated here in Denmark where it’s mandatory too: “The calculation is a measurement of the building’s quality in terms of energy usage vis-à-vis other buildings.”https://ens.dk/en/our-responsibilities/energy-labels-buildings …
Danish version tells that it’s an approximated energy use from the house’s insulation, doors, windows and method of heating. Also found this graphic depicting a correlation between the house’a age and grade:pic.twitter.com/hdGMjngSoo
At a guess I'd expect something like "energy usage * time" (since that can be estimated w/ profiling home heating etc) to be one major factor, plus maybe also some estimate of human CO2 output I'll ask some (belgian) friends for more detail tho
Do you know of any sources with emissions data in a parseable way? Specifically around land use? Been hunting for a long time to find good sources
Not always. Maybe depending on who they are marketing too. I am often fumbling on the m2 to sqft conversion.pic.twitter.com/M4zlKKqiuh
It's Based on annual energy consumption
