Of course you should ask "How could it fail?" when you start building it. But that question should not dominate your thinking.

totally. my thought process tends to be to first figure out "if things go right, what *could* this be?" and if the answer to that is enticing, it's then an inventory of what could get in the way, and an assessment on how large, and what the nature of those blockers are
