The treatment of women in political & public life is atrocious. Makes you wonder if it’s deliberate to intimidate & scare women from thinking they can dream bigger & do better.https://twitter.com/PoliticsJOE_UK/status/1354779034849312768 …

I thought that was outrageous. How is that even allowed?

A Tory MP also called Keir Starmer “Captain Hindsight” in Parliament earlier this week. Incredibly disrespectful of the people it’s aimed at, their peers, and the rules of Parliament.

Heard of SARS-CoV2 variant from Japan? No? How about one from South Korea? No? Surely variants from New Zealand & Vietnam? Of course not Because these places haven't given rise to scary variants But what places have.....has big implications for ending the pandemic Thread

It's exactly what she's been arguing all along, and emphasising since early January. I do think the penny has started to drop for the UK government as well now, since they're responsible for one of the worst new variants out there due to their stupid strategy.

Such a smug, arrogant, condescending, 19th century relic. Absolutely zero self-awareness. Do they not realise this condescension is having the opposite effect to what they intend, playing to their own gallery is not how to improve this situation 🤬

Yes it’s deliberate on a number of counts. To make us angry, create conflict and divide us. It’s what politicians are best at.

I think for Rees Mogg it's because he's intimidated by anyone more competent or able than himself. Which is basically the entire planet.
