        Indeed, it feels like the middle of March again, when maybe we had all got too complacent and used to the situation. Maybe it will give the government an opportunity to do some of the things it should have done then?

        Yup, if our Govts had the guts to do it on our terms back in Feb/Mar, maybe listing all bar goods trade, then perhaps wed have save ld tens of thousands of lives AND much of the economy. As it is we are heading for the worst of all outcomes.

        The Nationalist myth of "standing alone" in 1940 was of course on the shoulders of all the occupied nations of the Empire and Commonwealth and alongside hundreds of thousands of troops from the German occupied european nations. They may now see what 'alone' really means.
