It's the fact that they've done this at the same time their negligence has lead to 75000 deaths (and rising) that adds to the feeling of disgust. To prioritise enriching their mates over even one life is another step towards facism. Disaster capitalism is fatal......

Yes, because the procurement process is not transparent enough. Tools such as blockchain would make distribution of contracts cost effective, safer and fair. Especially with regard to the distribution of wealth. As its's a public record.

Not quite - the issues arise because of the by pass to the normal system which is otherwise rigorous. The National Audit Office established the existence of a highly non-transparent "fast lane" which awarded substantially greater numbers of contracts to the lucky few in it

Blatant, in plain sight, and there is no fuss at all being made. Not so long ago this would have been a proper scandal but nearly everyone seems to be shrugging shoulders “what do you expect”. Depressing.
