Outbreaks linked to indoor pubs/bars/clubs all over the world. Indoor, crowded settings w/ limited ventilation & alcohol (=very high risk). Easing lockdown like building a tower of blocks- open bars might be the piece teetering at the top which could make entire tower fall over.

I support outdoor hospitality, take-always & re-opening economy wherever possible but re-opening of indoor bars & pubs seems to be the step that causes super-spreading events. This virus is airborne & highly infectious in poorly ventilated, crowded places.

Brix today - It is extraordinarily widespread. So everybody who lives in a rural area, you are not immune or protected from this virus and that is why we keep saying, no matter where you live in America, you need to wear a mask and socially distance."

Devi, what's your take on Rishi Sunak's Eat Out at half price scheme? I have foreboding sense of doom about it....

In Berlin they traced most of the original cases back to nightclubs.

Makes me wonder if I’ve had it. Definitely were some cases at cambridge uni (my friend included) and I was still clubbing first week of march!
