Virus will keep spreading if there are susceptible people exposed to it. If considerable community transmission, then have to stop people seeing each other (lockdown). If community transmission is eliminated then possible to have ‘daily life’ back as long as clusters caught.

What IFR are you happy with before we stop this madness? Lockdown is killing people.

What is the point in number of cases at which the argument for second lockdown becomes strong?

I've obeyed all rules thus far but now, as a teacher, being fed to the wolves, I'll be less likely to. If they expected me to be in a building with 1400 kids all day, but not see my family (if we had to adopt measures like Northern England) it would not be happening.

If you've obeyed the rules thus far and are a teacher, I'm sure you'll keep being sensible and responsible :) Plus, I doubt ScotGov would introduce same measures like in NE. Rather, it will be "last to be reopen - first closed again".

So why the exempt shopworkers from wearing masks. They don't social distance either. Large stores don't seem concerned if disease spreads between workers or to customers.

One of the highest death rates relative to population size in Europe, and by far the worst among the Nordic nations. Sounds like a success.
