Do we have choice though, I mean, actually trying to stop the disease until we have a vaccine is just too much effort for Boris, better to let over half a million die than trouble the man.

The cheapest solution. Plus murdering care home residents and vulnerable people who could have lived for years makes sense financially, if not morally. Tories are cancer.
-
Not even the cheapest solution unless you are operating VERY short term &blinkered Evidence is coming out that this virus causes long term ill health in many who survive Seems particularly damaging to arteries Think of it as 40 years of smoking damage in a couple of weeks

I cannot imagine how frustrated ypu must feel, both professionally and as a human. I feel the same anxiety as early March creeping in... trying to shout what's ahead with no-one listening. UK Gov seem to be drunk at the wheel.

Herd immunity is sometimes what happens. No one ever made it a policy.

'Allowed out'? Isn't it their choice? In the absence of a vaccine or treatment what is the alternative to gradually easing lockdown? Other countries are re-opening restaurants, we aren't doing that, and doesn't seem near.
-
but is it a meaningful choice when the government ignores its own alert system? And don't the vulnerable deserve to be protected? As for other countries, they got a grip on the virus, we sadly didn't.
