What would you say about Scotland specifically.. did we fail to react or were our hands tied? Or somewhere between that?
-
Bit of both? The fact that
@devisridhar now advises Scottish government is significant I think.

Boris was on holiday and THEN he had the virus and THEN the mistress he impregnated while his wife had cancer gave birth. That’s a lot to deal with in a four week period, never mind the hassle of a pandemic. He’s the people’s hero!pic.twitter.com/sneFY3ij6x

Rather misleading claim. South Korea had the huge advantage of dealing with SARS and having that experience and strategy to draw upon. The fact you’ve ignored that suggests you’re not being fair and balanced in your commentary.
-
But it had a huge disadvantage, proximity and connectedness with China. We had weeks prep time ahead of SK. All countries prepare for pandemics, or fail to prepare.

Hold it, mr Gollop, if SKorea had the experience did we not talk with them and use their experience in our planning? But some questions about resources Prof Sridhar, what training level is needed for testers? How rare is equipment needed for evaluating tests?
