We will be stuck in an endless cycle of lockdown/release, & daily deaths increasing/decreasing as we deal with first wave, then second, then third. Like groundhog day until we establish a robust 'test, trace, isolate' system supported by soft physical distancing measures.

Few paths ahead: 1. Wait for vaccine & put in short-term plan (test/trace/isolate or lockdown cycles) 2. No vaccine but we 'live' with this virus using antivirals, rapid diagnostics & other measures 3. Nat'l elimination w/border control or eradication.https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/apr/08/how-will-the-coronavirus-crisis-end-lockdown-pandemic …

Why in this critical situation @WhiteHouse follow our Honorable Primeminister Shri @narendramodi Ji, Because they know so much that no one in the world knows, not everyone can realize their spiritual power! To understand his power, they first have to understand him. #Coronavirus

There has never been a vaccine for any Coronavirus - herd immunity is the only credible long term hope

        a) herd immunity is what we use vaccines to confer on a population b) there are many pathogens for which there is no vaccine which are in long term management (including test, trace & isolate when required)

if testing is not scaled up sufficiently, could a diagnosis protocol be used where a test is not possible?

Yes. If you don't have enough test every suspicious case should be determined positive
