    What's the best linux distro for programming? I'm used to linux command line, so it doesn't need to be beginner friendly. @DanEnglishby @ASpittel @hackernoon @FullstackDevJS @Ashot_ @ThePracticalDev @CodeNewbies @js_tut @YazanAabed @gethackteam @lizrice @linuxfoundation

Just to clarify I want to reformat a windows laptop to try a linux distro, instead of forking out for a mac.

I just installed Ubuntu 19.04 and it supports Color Emojis! That was a factor in my choice! 😍pic.twitter.com/2Gbthn6wnz

I've gone back to Ubuntu 19.04, after trying Mint, Debian and even Gentoo for a few years. Nothing beats the community support on Ubuntu if you get stuck, and it's simple to find and install software, which translates to more time coding and less time finding something that works
