I love doing gig interviews that suddenly branch out to a really nice chat about 6502/68000/copper/blitter/shadersn'oldschoolstuff. So many nice, fantastic people out there. And so many old school patterns that are still applicable in gamedev today. Nice!

My favourite piece of the game is still that the sword fighting mechanics that could have been defender of the crown style, instead became an insult quote competition. Lovely. :) A masterpiece!

So, a big thank you to all wonderful people I’ve worked with the last 8 years at Microsoft and King. I’ve learnt a lot and it was a true pleasure! Now, a bit of rest, skiing and focus on family. Then on to the next adventure! More on that later… Take care!

Got contracted 8 years ago by Microsoft and King to port the Candy Crush C++ based game engine to all new Microsoft platforms. It took 12 months. I stayed for 8 years. Got to work with awesome and friendly people. This is my last week. Thank you all! It was an awesome ride! <3

So after almost 8 years earning a living writing engines and switchers in C++ I write another one in C# as a fun weekend project. And rendering with Spectre.Console Coxels. Wonderful project. Gotta love that name... :)
