So what AM I advocating for? I'm advocating for better mental health care for #dysphoric people whether or not they ID as #trans because even if everything SEEMS like it's fine, I still think it's important to be able to talk out any concerns you might have as you transition. 2/6

For OFAB/Female individuals, I really want to emphasize the important of continuing to receive routine gynecolgic screening and care, ESPECIALLY if you're on HRT because there are potential risks that need to be monitored such as vaginal atrophy. 3/6

There were so many transmen, many with decent sized platforms that spoke on completely ignoring that side of their health care and it was always so incredibly worrying because I absolutely understand how awful it can be to deal with dysphoria while receiving that care. 4/6

Lastly (for now), I advocate against the
#affirmation model that many organizations use for#trans medical care because I encourage the exploration of your#gender identity because even for those that remain trans-identified, a standard medical transition isn't for them. 5/6Show this thread -
In conclusion,
#truetrans and#transtrender conversations are helpful to nobody and we should strongly advocate for each#dysphoric individual to create their personal health plans and to continue to check on them even if everything "seems fine." 6/6Show this thread

At the very least this need to be the case.
