So I found myself at a Health Centre in Lagos. While I was there, I noticed one of the nurses kept moving babies into a room, and the parents would follow her in. I could hear the cries of them babies.

moving, but wait o "boy or girl?" I asked the woman. "ah boys o" she replied. "although some people still circumcise girls because they believe she won't stay with her husband if she's not circumcised. but that one is not good," she chips in.

At that point, I felt calm return again. It wasn't girls they were cutting. I refrained from my intended action. But that experience made me realize how much pain these babies go through, whether boys or girls...but d thought of girls and the after effects

hasn't left my heart since then. This fight against
#FGM is bigger than one person or organisation. More partnership should go into this. This act is bad. I hope I don't catch somebody for this. We go wear one trouser...or skirt.Show this thread
