And just like that, my YT channel is gone. 10 years of hard work purged from existence. This is honestly my last cry for help to @TeamYouTube @TrustedFlagger. I’ve already submitted all of the appropriate appeals for my vids that were in fair use, and I get automated responses

NEVER COUNT ON FAIR USE. That's not binding. That law is american, anime are japanese content, and they can say that you're distributing the content even to where it is not licensed. Hope you get back to youtube, but never count on that again.

Not all countries has analogues of the "fair use", sadly. The US law may conflict with other countries laws and studio rights, but in the end, studios can both block videos, or strike it. And we see that happening. YT doesn't want to risk their offices or being sued overseas.

there is however an international treaty that recognizes all the canon of Fair use law

i don't know about that, but if it really has, as a matter of fact, it is not respected, and this treaty can conflict with local laws (countries usually abide by that before trying to abide to international conventions even if they signed them). It happens a lot in my country.
