    George Lucas gave the Star Wars universe of the original trilogy a Tolkienesque gravitas. He threatened to destroy that with the slapstick of Jar Jar etc. in the prequel trilogy.

    The Last Jedi is the worst Star Wars film, except for Attack of the Clones maybe. They’ve looked at the success of the Marvel movies and aped it. Badly-timed humour, shoe-horned characters. Terrible.
