This may come as a complete surprise to many supporters, but the EU trade negotiator Michel Barnier will be looking after the interests of the 27 countries that are members of the EU. Strangely, there is no requirement for him to look after the interests of a non-member!

  2. I didn't directly vote for them. They were endorsed by a majority of MEPs. UK MEPs did vote for them - apart from BXP who don't vote for anybody. Did you vote for Boris Johnson as PM? No! So what's the difference?

  3. Here's two reasons. 1) The EU is not a federalist state. 2) You can elect MEPs to the European Parliament. But don't whatever you do let facts influence your decision.

  4. Why are supporters still angry? They've "won" haven't they! Or maybe they've just always been angry and nothing will ever please them!

  5. will be 's legacy. History will forever remember him as the architect of the UK's demise. He is a modern day equivalent of Caligula. It's only a matter of time before he makes a horse Home Secretary! I know what you're thinking!

  6. Last week, the EU signed off on a WA allowing the UK to leave the EU. A deal agreed with within a few days last November. Michel Barnier is a details man. isn't. I suspect some provisions of the WA will come back to bite BJ!

  7. One thing's for certain. The vast majority of people who were gullible enough to believe before we left the EU will still believe when the transition period ends without a deal. They are like members of a cult!

  8. They're now talking about trade negotiations between the UK and the EU being like a game of chess. So, if it was a game of chess, who would your money be on to win it - or Michel Barnier?

  9. FYI, when or any of his cronies use the phrase "Australian style trade deal", he means no deal. Why? Because the EU doesn't have a trade deal with Australia. Its a con!

  10. has been President of the United States for three years. He promised change. There has been change. But, is that a change for the better or for the worse? I know what I think!

  11. It never ceases to amaze me when I see people with foreign heritage who are pro-Brexit. Especially when they're members of a Tory party responsible for the cruel treatment of the Windrush generation. Are they just hypocrites or something more sinister!

  12. doesn't LIE quite as much as Donald Trump, but he's getting there!

  13. I see the pound is down today against the dollar and the euro. Why? Shouldn't it have gone up now that we have certainty? Or perhaps people are now realizing what we've done is a horrendous mistake!

  14. this morning: "The people voted not once, not twice, but three times to end that (our membership of the EU)." Another LIE!

  15. The next 5 years will be even worse than the last 5 years. Why? Because austerity policies will continue unabated and growth will undoubtedly be negligible. It wasn't great pre-. When the transition period ends, all hell will break loose!

  16. And this is what the world thinks about . And they're absolutely right!

  17. If the British people are sensible, we should at the end of the transition period. But, unfortunately, there are far too many people who still believe in unicorns!

  18. is a lose/lose situation. Of course the EU is weaker without the UK, but the UK is hugely weaker outside the EU. The only ones who have gained are Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and all of our competitors around the world!

  19. Sixteen and seventeen year olds should be able to vote. I have no doubt they care about the future a lot more than the idiotic climate change deniers who don't give a toss about our planet and supporters of Brexit who don't give a toss about our country!

  20. It's Monday morning, a few days after we've left the EU. But nothing has changed. The Tories are still pedalling the exact same unicorn ideas. We can have our cake and eat it. WTO rules is the best thing since sliced bread. is God!!!
