160 miles today through the bitter cold and snow. @Tesla Model S 75D handled it like a pro.pic.twitter.com/amvX71IWZD

Cold affects range. However, warming the battery up (dual chargers help) and warming the interior of the car up (which warms the battery too) before you hit the road from a charger helps. In the winter, I always top off the charge and turn on the heat on house power before I go

Why wouldnt it only time i see people fail in winter is because they use summer tires or are crappy drivers

Did you get 160 miles of range from one charge in the winter? Seems like a lot from a 75 kWh battery. How slow did you drive? Did you have the AC off for an extended period of time.

One charge! Had a few miles left in the charge on return. Speed was 40-60mph, depending on the road conditions (mostly poor). Range mode on, but still kept the cabin at a comfortable 67°.

Model S 75D has a rated range of 249 miles, and I used most of all that. Temperates were around -15C throughout the day. Road conditions were garbage — had several inches of snow overnight and country roads weren’t yet well-cleared. Averaged around 380Wh/mile, about a 30% hit.
