San Francisco County "Jail 4 is more than just an old jail in the Hall of Justice facing demolition, it’s an artifact of criminal justice obsolescence and decay."https://www.sfchronicle.com/opinion/openforum/article/SF-should-close-a-jail-and-not-send-inmates-to-15239218.php …
You are painting a picture of mostly innocent people walking down the street and getting picked up by cops and put in jail for years. Police arrested people on probable cause so the incarcerated people are the ones that put themselves in that situation.

They put themselves in that situation by being black, brown, and poor.

I know the left says that so that everyone can say they are a victim and take no personal responsibility for their actions. But the reality is that most people in jail actually did something wrong and have to deal with the consequences.

I'm Glad I am conveying my opinions on our mass incarceration system effectively. I do not think most of the people in there deserve to be there, especially during a pandemic.
-
You did convey it effectively, but your opinion seems to be that all crime that is non-violence has zero consequences. Do drugs...no problem. Just lay on the street in front of a business. Steal less than $950...no problem...the rich business owner can afford that. I disagree.
