Most source code you write will be dead and abandoned within 2-5 years but some of it will last decades and you're never 100% sure which is which when you are writing it.

One of the BEST books you'll ever read about software development. If you haven't read it yet, I STRONGLY recommend you read it.

The smarter you are, the more likely you will suffer from analysis paralysis. You’ll end up spending all your time worrying about possible scenarios. Welcome to your long term anxiety. Sometimes you just have to say screw it and take action. Even if it’s proved wrong.

AFAIK you have to wait and watch your pipelines finish, you should not deploy on Fridays and you should not start new features before the weekend. So now's the exact right moment to go to and submit your talks and/or tutorials!

Nobody is considered a hero for averting a disaster, you only become a hero if the disaster happens. The firefighter is a hero, the fire protection inspector is an annoying useless person who enforces pointless norms that cost you, berates you and eventually fines you.

in one tweet? 1) if you want to be a VP of Engineering focus on teams and people and how to make them succesfull 2) wanna be a CTO? Simplify. Focus on the business, what is the simplest, most robust Tech/Ops that makes the business succeed.
