And I went back to work today and everyone said HOPE YOU ENJOYED YOUR WEEK OFF can a person pass off strangling everyone they know as a rogue symptom of covid, asking for a friend

Worked from home, had to set my alarm for 6am every morning, phone calls all day every time I tried to doze off, weather went to shit so I couldn't even go out in the garden

I spend every waking moment alone in my house, but as soon as the govt told me I had to stay alone in my house, I suddenly had a thousand places I wanted, nay NEEDED, to go

First day of freedom today after being locked away for a week with the covids

In the worst case of touch grass known to man, I just picked up an item in Tesco thinking I needed it and walked around with it in my basket for 5 full minutes before realising that I needed it to finish a quest in Yakuza: Like A Dragon, not for something in my actual real life.

I had just started experimenting with sexy times when this SEXY TIMES = POTENTIAL DEATH message aired. (Maybe coincidence, but I didn't have sex again until 1989 lol)

Gosh, this thread. I had a conversation about these ads with a younger person not too long ago. I don't think they could really comprehend its power, the place it inhabits in the psyche of an entire generation. Or the fallout.

I really want to reply to you all but I have to get up at bullshit o'clock, so I'd better not. Please know that your kind words and support mean SO much to me, thank you, I'm going to bed with a happy heart x

Anyway, there's my TMI overshare for the day/week/year. Might pop back in more often, coz I'm at that point where I should really be around people but still don't want to be around people, so being with people that aren't really 'here' is a good compromise 😁

I'm taking a bunch of supplements (Dr's orders), trying to eat and sleep better and, as stupid as this sounds, trying to stand up for myself in other aspects of my life that I'd let get out of control because I was just too emotionally defeated to take on any more battles.

This time last year I was seriously underweight with 14% body fat and I just couldn't stop it from falling. Now I've put on 10kgs (22% body fat) which is a good thing, even if I do feel like a sloth and get shitty every day because nothing fits me lol

My cortisol levels have been through the roof for so long, it caused a few other health problems along the way, but it's starting to come back down and that's bought me a few extra hours of sleep every week, so that's nice 🙂

For those who have asked if I'm ok - not really, no 🙂 I'll just blurt it out, turns out this round of depression was not depression but cptsd, which I've been getting help for, but putting myself back together has been a slow process.

Have to hit the hay soon, but just wanted to say hi. I've had notifications off (on all SM) for a long time, and it's helped a lot, but I really have missed you all. Hope you're safe and well x

PS. No, I'm not the only one in pyjamas.

So yeah, basically every ounce of emotional energy I have is being poured into pretending to be a functional adult during business hours, and by knock off, that well has completely fkn run dry.

I'm in a very bad headspace and I've been doing that thing where you *want* to let people know you're ok, but then they might reply to you and then you'll have to, you know, reply back, and the thought of any kind of conversation is so overwhelming that you just... can't.
