@RichardR how would they ever push an update to the SE firmware if it wiped all data?
I'm still not sure why people say "oh but the Secure Enclave will save us all from Apple signing FWs". Care to explain? SE can be updated.

@delroth_ This post claims that SE wipes all keys when updated. http://blog.trailofbits.com/2016/02/17/apple-can-comply-with-the-fbi-court-order/ … -
@NeoNacho and this post claims the opposite: http://blog.cryptographyengineering.com/2014/10/why-cant-apple-decrypt-your-iphone.html … I couldn't find evidence either way. Has Apple ever upgraded the SE?

@delroth_ i know that it's not possible to read the keys from SE. I think the hardware and algo speed enforces a ~100ms delay per try -
@tpw_rules right, that's basically saying the SE changes nothing to the situation though (same thing on pre-SE iPhones) - 1 more reply

@delroth_ presumably the next ver of iOS will require user confirmation before installing an update. No SE magic needed.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
