So has anyone ever heard of streaming gameplay footage using serialized OpenGL/DirectX calls in place of a generic video codec?
@comex I'd assume a lot of games also have workarounds for specific hw/drivers and that info would be lost, causing trouble

@marcan42@comex also, you might be interested in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VirtualGL which is kind of what you're talking about in a very basic way
