So has anyone ever heard of streaming gameplay footage using serialized OpenGL/DirectX calls in place of a generic video codec?
@comex I'm sure even if you remove textures from the equation, the size of vertices/uniforms/indices upload on each frame > H.264 size

@delroth_ Almost all of that is the same between frames though. -
@comex for uniforms, definitely not. Most objects change position during a scene because of physics simulation and/or animation. - 3 more replies
