TIL, AFAICT, you can't use 4096-bit RSA in a FIPS 140-2 environment, because the latest revision of the standard mandates 3 specific key sizes: 1024, 2048, or 3072 bits.

Downside: you have to keep using stupid-ass RSA instead of more robust ciphersuites :)

But yes, see email to golang-nuts: using Go's FIPS 140-2 compliant crypto implementation, you can't talk to Azure. Because 4096-bit RSA.
