The python2->python3 upgrade really is a software cautionary tail. The waves are still spreading out and breaking stuff, decades later.

Okay, mostly fixed, but now is bed time. Proper fix and PR tomorrow. And then I can go back to using redo for... something, that I was doing. Can't remember.

Actually hey, how does “redo no longer builds” work in nixos? I thought the whole point was builds were perfectly reproducible from the packages needed to do the build.

Usually this means "a dependency changed and broke the downstream builds". Could go back to an older nixpkgs and build from there, and it would work.

In this case: https://hydra.nixos.org/build/115165194 shows it indeed doesn't build at HEAD since yesterday, due to python2.7-mkdocs-exclude being broken.
