The TL;DR is that it seems like the NIC has support for generic checksum offloading, where you can combine 4 opcodes, 4 operand selectors, a few constant value slots, etc. to build your favorite checksum function and get it hardware accelerated. Pretty fancy, I like it.

I mean, it's a completely optional/bonus feature, and the existing probably-not-upstreamable driver doesn't even use it. So really doesn't change much, but maybe I'll find a crazy use case.
