Unless I’ve missed something, compute prices at major cloud providers haven’t really moved after each of these vulnerabilities got published, which could indicate SMT is still A-OK to them somehow. But really it's because serious cloud providers with a security team worth their salary were already refusing to schedule multiple customers on the same physical core (outside of low cost burstable instances). Not sure about EC2, but Azure and GCE since 2017 at least.
