Also sharing snippets or libraries with other developers Is a fuck lot easier and cleaner with plain C. You can take C code and drop it into a C++ project easily or port it to another language with a lot less hassle. Not saying all C++ is bad at all. It's a good tool for the job

Agreed. Read my tweet as less of a C vs. C++ and more of a C++ vs. $replacement_of_the_year (Vala, Go, Nim, ...).
