"human-generated" is doing nothing in this headline. there is no such thing as AI-generated journalism. and people who review AI generated copy are not news editors. these activities do not mimic anything remotely resembling a reporting process, of which writing is maybe 10%.

lawyers say "don't talk to police" because they know this kind of coercion, which affects your ability to reason properly, doesn't require you to be handcuffed first.

people know miranda & think it's for their benefit. nope. it was only deemed necessary b/c cops pose an inherent threat to your freedom & therefore every conversation is coerced. it's a legal disclosure to protect cops treated like a spell that ward off psychological manipulation

Would you believe that egg prices are higher because a giant company decided they could make more profit by raising prices and blaming "bird flu" and "inflation" rather than anything to do with bird flu or anything else

These crimes already have names: vandalism, arson, etc. Important to remember “terrorist” is not just a pejorative term; it’s used to expand the scope of police authority and call down resources, surveillant & others, not typically deployed for these crimes.

“I wouldn’t quite call it spyware. It’s more like ‘shameware,’ and it’s just another way the church controls you.” Churches are using invasive phone-monitoring tech to discourage “sinful” behavior. Some software is seeing more than congregants realize.
