My child’s friends’ parents that are T supporters are basically in this age range so I’ll take a stab at it. They dismiss *all* politicians as corrupt, they hate paying taxes, they don’t believe half of what the media says and they don’t like helping out ppl they don’t know.

I’m 49 (TX), I’ve voted D for years, but I wonder if it’s a combo of mid-life crises, envy of others (esp minorities) that have more $ and success. Can’t get at retirement $ w/o penalty and grew up thinking “Greed is Good”.
