Last week, w/ @USCPolFuture, I hosted a town meeting with #college students representing diverse set of schools. I asked what they think older people don’t get about them. This is what I heard: “Older generations view us as distracted & they confuse it for shallowness & apathy.”

“I’m concerned that the American Dream sold in post-war America now comes w/ a long list of disclaimers, hidden fees & strings attached that were not made clear in the advertisement. Young people will come out to the polls & fight for...capitalism that works for everyone...”

“I wish the older generations would understand that we are angry because we care. We are compassionate and empathetic and care about the issues that don't affect us because we care about other communities outside our own...I am tried of OLD WHITE MEN ruling all around me.”

“hope that in the future we stray from "cancel culture" and censorship and come to accept that your opinions don't make you a good or bad person, but it is your actions that reflect your character. We care. Let us show that.”
