Thanks for raising this. Views & sub counts fluctuations are actually normal and you may see this from time to time. YouTube adjusts this around the clock to remove any inactive or illegitimate/spam views. Hope this helps clarify.

Thanks for your response. Does this mean that the drop is all normal YT maintenance? I am reluctant to upload right now, especially when the algorithm compares new vids to previous vids & grades new vids based on 24-48 hr performance when the system drops views...

IMO, either there is something 'wrong' or 'broken' with the system, or there's been a change in a metric that we are all not aware of (yet).

I agree, I have this problem. I received 1.7 million views 2 months ago and 350 thousand views this month. There must be something wrong with the youtube algorithm.
